Het is moeilijk om hier te fotograferen: het licht is keihard. Slechts in de ochtend en avond is het licht zachter.		The light makes it difficult to take photographs. Only in the morning and evening the light is subtle.

Maria op Mykonos. Door de airco van de boot had ik een knallende hoofdpijn, aangewakkerd door de harde wind op het eiland. De pijn verdwijnt, de foto blijft.		A trip to Mykonos. I had a headache because of the air conditioning on the boat. The strong wind on the island didn't help much. The headaches disappeared and the photo remains.

De Vikos-kloof. Dit is het meest spectaculaire landschap dat ik ooit op mijn reizen in Europa gezien heb. Zelfs dit panorama, gemaakt van zeven foto's, geeft niet goed weer hoe groots dit landschap is.		The Vikos gorge. This is the most spectacular landscape I have ever seen on my travels in Europe. Even this panorama, made of 7 photos, cannot give a good impression of the greatness of this landscape.
De rivier Voïdomatis stroomt eerst onder de oude brug van Kokkorou door, voordat ze de Vikos-kloof binnengaat.		Before flowing through the Vikos gorge, the river Voïdomatis runs under the old bridge of Kokkorou.

Konitsa, gezien vanaf de berg Makrovouni. De berg links, Trapezitsa, is 2022 meter hoog, de berg rechts, Lapatos, 2251. De rivier stroomt daar tussendoor op 400 meter boven zeeniveau. Achter deze bergen ligt de Vikos-kloof.		Konitsa, seen from mount Makrovouni. The mountain left is Trapezitsa, 2022 meter above sealevel. The mountain on the right is Lapatos, 2251 meters high. In between is the river Aoos at 400 meters. Behind these mountains lies the Vikos gorge.

Het klooster Molivdhoskepasti, vlak langs de Albanese grens. Het kerkje in het midden dateert uit de vroege middeleeuwen.		The monastry Molivdhoskepasti, close to the Albanian border. The church in the middle dates from early medieval times.
De wijnranken van mijn schoonouders met op de achtergrond een winters landschap. De Albanese grens loopt ergens over deze bergen heen.		The vines of my parents in law against the backgroud of a winter landscape. Over these mountains goes the border of Albania.

Aan de rand van Konitsa, ergens bij de rivier, staat een oude truck geparkeerd op iemands chaotisch privéterrein.		At the edge of Konitsa, not far from de river, an old truck is parked on someones chaotic private property.
